Event Name :- Mr. & Ms. Uttarayan 2017 ::
Mr. & Ms. Uttarayan 2017 was conducted on 13th April. A total of 13 students took part in the event.
In round 1, the students showcased their talents by dancing, singing and mimicing their favorite personalities!
While in round 2, they were asked questions related to their chosen personalities as well as questions on social issues.
The judges for the event were Ms. Nivedita Manish, Head, DNA english newspaper, Dainik Bhaskar and Mr. Manish Biyani, GM, Sales and Marketing, Shree Cement Ltd.
Saiffuddin Bohra was chosen as Mr. Uttarayan and Namita Sharma was chosen as Ms. Uttarayan.
Event Name :- Fireless Cooking ::
Cultural Fests are the majestic extravaganza organized annually by various institutions and form a very crucial aspect of student’s college life. The Faculty ofManagement, Pacific Academyof Higher Educationand Research Universityorganized a Two Days Academic cum Cultural Fest –UTTARAYAN 2017to provide an academically and culturally stimulating atmosphere to the students for their professional growth and development.
The fest- UTTARAYAN 2017comprised of various literaryevents viz. Business Plan, Ad-Zap, Business Quiz, Budding Manager ,Creative Writing;Cultural events viz. Music, Dance, Fashion Show ;Gaming events viz.management gamesand soon.
One of the events of Uttarayan-17 was Fireless Cooking where the cookery enthusiaststudents were expected to showcase their cooking skills without the use of fire. Fireless Cooking was the last event of Day 1 of Uttarayan-17 and students participated in it with lot of zeal and enthusiasm. In all 12 teams comprising of four members each, participated in the event.Students were given an hour’s time for preparation and then they were supposed to serve a big spread of dishes in front of the Judges.
Lot of delicious dishes were prepared by the students like Sprouts Chaat, Corn and Pomegranate Chaat,Refreshing Salads,Scrumptious Sandwiches,Delightful Desserts etc. The event revived the fireless food culture which is in practice in many parts of the country. Through their innovative and mouth wateringrecipes, students attempted to recreate the taste and texture of cooked food in the uncooked.
The dishes were judged by Dr.Sangeeta Dhar, Professor-Institute of Hotel Management and Mr. Kamal Singh,Senior Executive Chef-Trident.The Judges tasted the variety of dishes prepared by the students and on the basis of taste, nutrition value and presentation declared Team 7 comprising Akanksha and group winners of the event.
The judges declared Team 12 comprising Namita and group as the second winner and Team 10 comprising Vaishali and group as the third winner of the contest. At the end of the event ,Chef Mr.Kamal Singh gave valuable tips to the students that appearance and presentation of the dish plays an important role and thus the dish should always look presentable.
Event Name :- Business Plan ::
On the morning of 12th the first event of Uttarayan 2017 BUSINESS PLAN took place. Being the first event, students with full enthusiasm rushed the venue and very soon the hall was filled with students and faculties.
Dr. Rahul Vyas, Co-ordinator of LAW COLLEGE judged the event where a total of five teams participated.
The teams came up with innovative and vibrant ideas of initiating a business like home décor, Samaroh - The Event Managers, Hiccups-online restaurants and some others.
Students presented their business plan and whole strategy of how they would be making this business idea a successful one.
Team D (Diksha Jain and Dharmendra Nagda) stood First and
Team B (Lakhan Lohiya and Shadab Sheikh) stood second, while there was a tie for the third position between team A (Pooja Sikligar) and team E (Aanchal James and Mahir Raza).
Event Name :- Ad Zap ::
AD ZAP is one of the academic activities that give students creative room to innovate & express what they feel. The length and breadth of knowledge that they gain through this is simply unparallel.
The UTRAYAN-‘17 AD ZAP competition was held on 12.04.2017 in the Seminar Hall -2 of Pacific Institute of Management building in which there were four teams participated. The time period of one hour was scheduled for the same. The teams were allotted various products & services by draw of lot and given 30 minutes for preparation. Then teams presented advertisements on allotted products / services, each ad was having some unique brand name, jingle and USP of product.
The judges of activity were Dr. Vrinda Goel from UCCMS, MLSU, Udaipur & Ms. Kriti Joshi from Pragnya College of Management, Pune, who evaluated the participants on Quality of enactment, Body Language & Coordination, Brand name, Punch line, Jingles, Time Management, etc.
It was very evident that the teams were well prepared and they used various skills like overstatement, definition, irony etc. to convince the audience. The participants, armed with creativity, innovation, selling skills, made their arguments and presentation more emphatic with their righteous facial expressions, body movement and gestures. All the teams exhibited great oratorical skills but, finally the following three participants were declared winners …….

Event Name :- Business Quiz ::
Students of Faculty of Management, Pacific University(MBA) participated in the Business Quiz Competition of the Uttarayan 2017 organized by Faculty of Management under the guidance of Dr. Shikha Bhargava and Dr. Gaurav Joshi.
The Quiz constituted of Business Riddles, Current Affairs, Famous Personalities and various logical and reasoning puzzles.
The event was coordinated by the students of Pacific university of MBA II and IV semester-Kriti Sharma, Piyush Vaishnav, Ruchi Mandovra and Rajab Ali Kapadwanj.
The quiz was actively participated in and enthusiastically conducted and enjoyed by the faculty members and all the students.
Event Name :- Cover Page Designing ::
Theme :Cricket World Cup 2019 (Sports Magazine).
Students were asked to prepare a cover page for the magazine which should have the above theme ,Students were to bring the material by themselves, Sheets were provided to them ,8 teams participated.
Students participated with Zeal and Enthusiasm they explained the various themes which included the cover page designing ,appropriate themes ,color contrast,, creativity, use of images in appropriate places.

Event Name :- Corporate Roadies ::
‘Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence wins championship.’
Corporate Roadies needs brilliant mind with daring attitude.Consisting of 4 merathon tasks, this event purely puts the team's coordination and their knowledge and skills to evaluation. With the completion of different tasks and activities in time, the teams with the best conviction skills win!
The coordinators of the event, Dr. Pooja Devija and Dr. Dipin Mathur informed that the number of members in a team was 4, total 14 teams i.e.56 participants.This event comprised of 4 tasks: each member completed one task each.1. it was held on 13.4.2017 at 10.30 am in Uttrayan 2017.
Corporate Roadies is a collection of management games to test your time management skills, your capability of working in a team , formulating and implementing strategy at every step and your knowledge. The game is designed to throw the worst at you to bring out the best in you. The participants need to show their caliber, the power of persuasion and the ability to handle pressure.
Event Name :- Singing ::
The Cultural Evening was held on Friday April 13, 2017.The first event of the evening was the Singing Competition. The competition was categorized as solo song competition and group song competition having 11 and 3 group participants respectively. The students showed an active participation in the same and charmed the audience with their beautiful voice and stage presence.
The competition was judged by Mr. Mahendra Kumar Verma,Lecturer Music Department, Lokmanya Tilak Teachers Training College and Ms. Jyotsana Jain, MD at City Pride Public School, Udaipur.
The Event Co-ordinators were CA Disha Fattawat and Dr. Kadambari Jain.

Event Name :- Dance Competition ::
Students were asked to prepare for solo, duet & group dance respectively.
Students participated with Zeal and Enthusiasm they explained the various themes in the group dance like Punjabi, bollywood, still dance Hollywood etc. which included creativity, coordination, costume and over all presentation.
Judges were Mr. Bharat Verma & Ms. Neha Mathur.
